The phone rings... Your doctor wants to schedule
a conference. You suspect the worst and your gut is in a knot
waiting for what you know will be bad news. You are not
disappointed. You have cancer and it is terminal. There is nothing
they can do. You frantically begin reading books and searching the
net for some "alternative" cure. You get worse and worse until you
finally admit to yourself that in lieu of some "miracle", you will
be saying goodbye to all you've known on this earth.
You have a serious problem. You may be afraid to admit it, and you
may fight with all your will to deny it, but it is there
nonetheless. It haunts and plagues you day and night, and yet there
is no escaping its far reaching hand. The problem is called sin, and
it will someday be your complete "undoing" if a remedy is not found.
You have been diagnosed by the Law of God as having the cancer of
sin. It is eating away at your conscience. Things that you once
looked on as evil now have no effect on your soul. In time, that sin
will drag you down to hell where you will spend eternity wondering
why you did not take the cure. What is the cure? It is called: The
Gospel .
What is the gospel?
You will trust a physician to give a proper remedy for illness . You
will trust the dentist with your teeth and the mechanic with your
car. But will you trust God with your soul or look into the pages of
the Bible to find the cure for sin? Jesus Christ said :
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39
You think often of your physical necessities, but leave the
weightier matters of the soul, heaven, hell, and eternal judgment,
to the priest, pastor, or other "religious authority". The Bible is
too hard to understand, and the church "knows the way" so, you leave
it to them, never having any real assurance that your sins are dealt
with according to the word of God. But Christ said, "Search." (see
above verse). Not the preacher, the priest, the rector, or Sunday
School teacher. YOU search. You have cancer (sin) you are dying! You
must find the "remedy"! Let me suggest a place to start.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according
to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:3,4
That is the good news! The gospel. How can that be good news?
Christ was your substitute. He took the cancer of sin on himself and
died from it. He suffered with it and for it in your place. The fact
of his resurrection tells us that we don't have to go to hell to pay
for our own sins. The gospel is a love story. It is about a God who
loves you and because of that love was willing to become a man and
die in your place. The gospel is not a religion. It is just you
receiving what he has done for you. You receive him by faith. That
is, you can't see him, but you can believe him. His word stands. He
said "Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out." (John
6:37) Search it out!
Testimony: I know whereof I speak. I have known the Lord Jesus
Christ as my Saviour and friend since I left school. When I received
him, it was not a fad or a "new trip". Rather, he has been my
closest companion and given me joy and blessings that nothing else can match. I
would love the opportunity of introducing him to you. Call me or
email me.
"With great power comes great
responsibility."
"...For unto whomsoever much is
given, of him shall be much required..." (Luke 12:48)
For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2
Tim 1:7)
Jesus says, "My grace is sufficient
for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor. 12:9a)
God's design is to make you a showcase for Jesus' power. By giving
strength to endure and even rejoice in tribulation.
"Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for
when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Cor. 12:9b-10)

“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall
be much required” (Lu. 12:48). The Bible is a gift that is worthy of
our time and deliberate thought (like the Bereans of Acts 17:11).
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that God “is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him”. And Jesus tells his disciples, “seek, and ye
shall find” (Lu. 11:9, also see Mt. 7:7). Thus, time spent in the
pursuit of the truth is time well spent.
Moreover, note that knowledge is not the goal. What you’ve learned
herein isn’t just an interesting Biblical oddity. Although it’s been
overlooked by so many for so long, the beauty of this insight is
that the Bible has always pointed to the truth! Still, let us
remember that even the disciples didn’t realize some things were
contained in the scriptures until God revealed those things to them
[as in Luke 24:45, “Then opened he (Jesus) their understanding, that
they might understand the scriptures”]. Might God act similarly
today, opening our understanding to things that we had previously
overlooked?
Even in our day, God can still reveal truth through the Bible, as
this study proves. However, bear in mind that the learning of truth
is not an end in itself. 2 Peter 1:5-7 says, “add to... knowledge
temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness
charity”. Similarly Paul wrote, “though I have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have
all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not
charity,Iamnothing”.(1Cor.13:2) Thank God for the knowledge, but
then press on to glorify Him through your life.
If your eyes have been opened to a truth that most others have
missed, then the question you’re left with is, ‘if so many could be
wrong about this, what else could they be wrong about?’
Read the Bible with care to make sure that it actually says what you
have been told that it says. Enjoy God’s instruction and love the
truth.
Thank you.
