Kalusugan at Kabuhayan: Bedistang
Sagot sa Kahirapan!!!

- Quezon City (Barangay Bagong Lipunan ng Crame Q.C.)
Congrats are in
order to SBC Batch GS78/HS82 for a successful first-ever medical/dental
mission under our wellness campaign program. GREAT WORK!!!!
It was a fine cool saturday morning. The weather that day cooperated as it
was windy and cool which facilitated movement of people and made the
environment more conducive.
But before anything else., our heartfelt appreciation to all the
doctor/dentist / nurse volunteers who patiently checked up and issued
prescription to patients - young and old who lined up as early as 730am.
Docs Gus, Voltaire, Vicky Bustos (better half of Atty. Hubert), Rosario (rhonelle's
bro) stayed till the patients were all treated. Walana ngang relyebo wala
pang iwanan talaga!
Our appreciation to our major sponsor the Drugstore Assn of the
Philippines who brought in not just medicines but also pharmacists cum
drugstore owners, to other sponsors like Botika ng Bayan (Phil. Inter'l
Trading Center), Fern-C, etc.
Kudos to all the volunteer angels, I mean nurses (newly grads) brought in
by their papa regie umali. Dami mo scholars ha. he he. A nurse volunteer
from CEU (care of Noel Corpus) also assisted. A medical rep also helped in
the flow of the patients.
Our thanks to our extended bedan family - kids, wives, siblings, etc of
our bedan batchmates who did not just show support but also actively
participated in the event.
And most of all, to all batchmates who graced the occasion by their
presence and active invovlement all throughout the prep and implementation
of the mission. You know who you are.
HATS OFF TO ALL OF US!
Per official figures, there were more than 400+ indigents served that day,
most of whom were children (70-80%). More than 100 patients had their
tooth extracted. And about P200,000 worth of medicines were given out. (Rhonelle,
Bhoyette, please validate this estimate of mine).
The batch spent (from batch funds) about P7,500.00 only to buy additional
multivitamins for children and 1 cidex bottle (sterilization chemical) for
dental services. The actual amount and receipt will be reported later.
This was the only expense we had from our batch.
Because of the massive-turn out, Vice Mayor Herbert invited us to a
meeting this Wed to discuss future joint projects. I was tasked to
represent the batch. And I will report to the batch minutes of the meeting
right after.
Looking forward to more socially-relevant projects!
FOR SAN BEDA, OUR COUNTRY AND GOD!
Alain Maulion
Kudos to you batchmates who attended the
Wellness camapaign! It was a resounding success!
400 + patients were treated!
Bedan Alumnus Vice-Mayor Herbert "Bistek" Bautista graced the occassion
and was very grateful and satisfied with the turn-out. In fact he wants
this replicated in the other areas with the other Beda batches
participating.
Full prescription dosage was given to all the patients
Special mention to:

2. Vhoyet Vizconde- for donating your own medical supply and co-sponsoring
with the Drugstores Association of the Philippines for the medicines
(salamat pala sa fern-c)

medicines
4. Arnie Sanvictores, Jerry Garcia, Lake Corpus- for attending the

7. James Ugarte and wife Regina- for controlling the flow of incoming
patient traffic
8. Benjie Feria, Reggie Umali, Manny Beato- for controlling patient
traffic within the premises (benjie ang galing mo! biruin mo sa dami ng
tao naka spot ka pa ng mababakunahan!)
9. Alfred Danac- for policing the area and entertaining Dr. Voltaire
Cagampan
10. Jun Ignacio- for logistically moving the tables and chairs around
11. Gus Reyes, Voltaire Cagampan, Ike Alano and Juan de La Cruz- for your
indefatiguable labor of love in treating all the patients
And to to the other batchmates who attended and helped in their own way
mabuhay kayo! Masaya at buhay na buhay ang ating misyon dahil sa walang
humpay na tawanan at alaskahan. Iba talaga ang Beda 7882!
Thank you Lord sa lahat ng biyaya at kabutihan Mo! Truly you cannot be
outdone in genoristy!

our former classmates DEAD or ALIVE. This site will probably
expire by the year 2050. The last surviving person on this
